In the end
Some people say "live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse." why? in the end all that represents what you have done in life is a the legacy you have left behind, and the laughter of your friends and families share when they look back on the life you have lead and reminisce. Well, I want to leave a legacy and be remembered, and maybe some time down the line, a long ways off when it is my time to go, i will be buried somewhere where people come and take pictures of my grave site and head stone. I found a cemetery and took this picture, and a few others. It would be nice someday to know that even when i am gone people will still think i am important enough to take pictures of my final resting place.
creativity is a gift
I figure there are few different people in the world, they are broken down into a categories those who are creative and those who try too hard and don't succeed. This is a photo of one of those people, I can't determine if the home owner has it or not. I like the idea of having a ridiculous looking yard sculpture in the yard of a million dollar house, but the question I have is it supppose to be a joke or did they erect it there and think is tied the yard together and classed up the joint. My guess is the people had the money to buy it and laugh everyone stops and ponders this. They have a frog king in their front yard, they have my respect.

A look back
So I still have tons of vacation photos to add. Everyday I was down in SC I took a walk a ways down the beach to this massive hotel resort, they had a boardwalk and at the end they had a bar. I so wanted to grab a cocktail and just sit and relax in the sun and take it all in. The only problem was the bar was never open. But either way the boardwalk was a cool place to take a few pictures.

Introspective
I have always had a bit of an artistic side, but didn't always have a passion for photography. Well I found I have a real passion for photography, and I blame it on this guy. That be my father. I dragged him along with me on an adventure to find some canons and get a bit of American history. It is strange feeling standing at a fort and looking over the harbor and just imagining what the scene would have looked like when the red coats we attacking.

Back to the grind stone
After a week of vacation in beautiful South Carolina I am back to work. Luckily I took my camera with me and took hundreds of pictures. I had a slight problem though, on monday one of my lens broke. But I still got some great pictures. This is one of my favorites. I had a few pictures I wanted to take and on the second day down there I had the chance to find this guy. It was fun and scary, at one point I lost the guy as I rounded the bend. I am happy to say that I survived.

New Log 3/31
I am going to try this again, blogging that is. I have a good friend who swears by it. So I will try to keep up on it. I have been keeping busy with different projects below are a few of the things I have been doing.

I spent a weekend working as Head Video at a big youth conference in Traverse City. It was a great weekend, some sleepless nights, and a bomb threat which ended the weekend, but none the less a good time.

I have also been busy working on the covering the Golden Gloves fights. Me and another photog had a shoot on a training night at the Michigan Golden Gloves Gym a week or so back, this is one of the contact sheets. The boxers were happy how some of the shots turned out. I found it fun and challenging to get some good action shoots of them fighting.
Stayed tuned for more of these posts: as long as I remember

amieds Log 1/29
No photo to add today, but I am been busy with other projects, maybe I should add those. but I just stopped by to air some grievances I have towards some of my industry friends. As a media professional I can say this. The writers unions all need to eat a fat... there I said it. They have recently agreed to work on the grammys and keep the show going to support the artists and industry. I think good for them get back to work. This is what I think about the writers, they are all jerks and no good whiny trolls. That is right trolls. You see the writers are working and the shows aren't taping so that means a lot more people are working. Camera ops, associate producers, editors are all out of work. They aren't asking for residuals for their work so why should the writers. The writers have maybe the greatest job in the world and they just want more and more money. And that is why I have equated them to trolls.
That is all I have to say for now....
